4th of July

Independence Day JUST happened right?

Well, a girl can pretend.

Guess what? We had our first grown up 4th party!

I'd been thinking that it would be really fun to get together with friends:
- outside
- have a potluck b.b.q.
- bring some babies and animals

and party like "mini-families/twenty-somethings/young adult's with social lives" are supposed to!

And guess what? It turns out I wasn't the only one thinking the same thing! It was great!

We all got together and threw a bash on our own apartment prickle-lawn. Success indeed!

Potluck/BBQ! check.

Baby! check.

Friends! check.

This handsome little man is Sawyer,
Peppers first friend ever!
She started out hissing at the poor guy,
but after awhile they started playing and wrestling and continued on for 2 hours

They were in animal-friend heaven.

And afterward, they each slept for about 3 hours.

Becca came!

Thanks for sitting on my blankets bec! Nobody else did cause, man it was hot.

We are missing all these friends now that the semester is over!
I hope they all move into our new complex next winter.
Master plan.

After that party,
we just stuck around for phase 2.

Another BBQ with baked ribs, and tri-tip, and catch phrase AND

fireworks.

And a really pretty sky.

And I didn't take pictures of the fireworks.
Imagine can o' worms, flowers, sparklers and some colorful big ones.

I am so grateful to have great friends, jobs, safety, a place to live, food, a country I love and the ability to worship our God however I choose without persecution.
