Lots of Thoughts Rampaging

I have a day off from work today
because my charge is on a trip out of the state for the day....
and I've got a lot of time to have a lot of thoughts.

1. It's not really fair that Miley Cyrus is going to marry her whose-it boyfriend
because then she gets to have Thanksgiving with Thor.

Thor!

2. After seeing The Avengers I have become sincerely disturbed by the very likely truth
that those actors aren't really like the super heroes they portray.
They were all just so awesome,
my hopes are really high up there for their true characters!
so now
if they ever show up on the news portraying less than super actions....
don't tell me.

Super Heroes live on!

3. I have been sneaking around my house, avoiding eye contact with my
Insanity DVD's.
The second month started where everything is supposed to be more difficult
and guess what
it's also longer.

Nobody told me that!

Now it's a full hour of extra hard stuff and I gotta tell you
the idea of an entire hour of super hard stuff is not beautiful from your bed
when you first wake up in the morning.

I've been lazy at least every other day
and now that I have a day off from work,
it's staring at me.

And all I can think of is how much I want to be eating apple pie right now.
Chocolate cookies sound really great too.

See here's the thing:

4. I don't eat before I exercise.
Because that would be asking for a world of hurt.
But when I just sit here putting it off,

I get hungry, guys.

First it's for normal things, like breakfast.
Then, it's for pudding,
milkshakes,
pie.

My stomach knows where it's at.

Ahh...I think I might just go running or something.

5. Tommy and I met when he was 19 and I was 18.
Lately I've been wondering (more than usual)
what it would be like to meet him for the first time at various stages in our lives.

I've thought about what it would have been like to meet him younger,
go to the same high school etc.
I've decided that would have been less fun over all.

But recently I've been thinking about how things would have gone
had I met him when we were older.

There are so many things that change us throughout our lives
if we had met when we were in our 30's
would we like each other?
Would we want to be friends?
Or would we have changed and become really different
in lives where we didn't know each other for years and years.

I am fascinated by the thought and I kind of wish I could time travel.

I just want to take peeks and see what the Tommy without Carly
would be like at 20, 25, 35, 57...

I am less interested to see what the Carly without Tommy would be like
cause let's be honest.
That sounds awful.

Still it's intriguing.

I know that when Tommy and I met at 19 and 18,
God had a hand (or two) in it.

Many things went into motion that weren't even in our immediate control
and after everything was added up and settled down,
we were in the same place at the same time,
and it was a very good change for my life, and his.

I'm forever grateful we met when we did,
and I'm grateful we had to go through a bunch of changes
before and after we met
so that we could be ready for each other.

And yet, that curiosity gets to me.
I wonder if God has a peek-o-scope in heaven
to view different potential realities.

Awesome!

6. I'm plotting some things right now...
"I'm working with some very unstable heeerbs..."
and no place is safe.
because the giant actually occasionally reads this bit of the internet.
but it's killing me not to be able to talk to him about my ideas!
keeping secrets from your hubby is really hard.
My tongue is red from all the biting.

7. I have become a fan of Dragon Ball.
There.
I said it.
The boy I nanny watches it daily and I really look forward to it!

8. I need ideas for what I should be for Halloween.
Begin.

9. The giant and I are going to see  Bill Cosby  tonight!!!!!

I know.
It's mind blowing.

10.  now i'm really hungry.
